IT WAS May16th, 2011 – my husband Edward, motivated by friend,
went for a routine Colonoscopy check-up for the first time in his life. Before
colonoscopy was finished, Ed caught the word "Biopsy"... Well, few minutes later
he finds out that “Something does not look right”. Few days later Ed went back
to a clinic at the Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas...
RESULTS: ADENOCARCINOMA, MODERATELY DIFFERENTIATED -- Stage II

28th, 2011. Thanks to our friend, family doctor, and thanks to colonoscopy; this story will never happened without them...
At the Stage II, the urgency factor was high. Ed, 69 years old, was put on a spot, facing the most frightening word in the English dictionary--- CANCER...
On May 28th Ed called me; I was working in New York at that time and getting ready for a trip to Chicago, related to hirudotherapy. He shared the "news" in whisper... He in
shock, I in disbelieve... IT WAS THE MOST TERRIFYING SILENCE IN MY LIFE, all
what I heard was Ed's and my heart beat and tears falling down on our cell phones...

I talked to other hirudologists in Europe, where clinical studies on colon cancer and other cancers were done with hirudotherapy treatments with totally positive outcomes; I receive some advises from friends-physicians in Russia and Ukraine; lots of mental support from my
colleagues-hirudotherapists in Europe and USA ...Although, I knew that some of them
were skeptical, most of them gave me great support and encouragement...
And, my husband, definitely refused to go other way around – the thought alone about chemo-radiation elevated his blood pressure immediately!

The HIRUDOTHERAPY TREATMENT STARTED on JUNE, 5th 2011, with me
and "my Black Pearls”, Medicinal Leeches....
The pressure of the running time (Ed's doctor said we have 3-4 weeks to try alternative therapies!) was killing me inside, along with doubt attacks that I cried into my pillow at night... During the day I had to smile and be strong for Ed and for our 18 old son who was graduating in a few days, by June 19th!
Ed always has this unique look in his big, blue eyes... combination of fear, hope
and wonder...Only before I applied the leeches, however! Afterwards, with leeches on his body, he was content and peaceful, falling asleep after a few minutes...
Looking at THEM (leeches & Ed) together, effortlessly united, I felt the strong circle of passing energy among three of us... Every next hirudotherapy session was building more strength in me and calming my doubts. Ed's faith in us, leeches & me, was charging my body with
an extreme energy, determination and trust in nature!
Every day I see visual changes in his body; I am listening to his observations, absorbing his
feelings, fallowing his gestures... Being with "my patient" day and night I am fascinated with all the changes in Ed's body!
The biochemical interaction within body systems and natural agents from leeches' salivary glands secretion, at that point - 3 weeks later, were incredible! I almost physically
felt the flow of chemical energy through metabolism....
The SECRETION OF LIFE...Yes, my husband is getting a new life...

Ed celebrated his 70th Birthday on August 6th, 2011.... On October 17th MRI did not show any spreads of deadly cancer cells....NO CANCER CELLS; and the blood test shows Ed's perfect blood profile! But we have to keep going....
Right now we are finishing the fourth-series of alternative biotherapy with medicinal leeches.
Ed DID NOT have ANY PAIN throughout the entire treatment; as soon as post-biopsy
negative symptoms, bleeding and pain, disappeared and wound healed due to the already applied hirudotherapy, circa in 3 days, from June 9th, 2012 through this days NO PAIN!.
There are some temporary, passing by aches and discomforts from hirudotherapy
applications per se; such as post-leeches detachment bloodletting, sleeping and walking covered with wound-dressings in most bizarre places! However, by the next day after hirudotherapy session Ed is humorous all about it!
